Hello everyone!
We are so excited- Harvest Fair is tomorrow! We have been counting down the days for the past two weeks. We have been integrating the theme of Harvest into our lessons. We learned all about harvest in the past in history- this was very interesting as we saw the differences between farming now and farming long ago. We have it much easier nowadays! We learned all about harvesting types of food and the best time of year to harvest food in geography, which tied in with the strand unit of weather. We wrote about the harvest in English under the genre of recount writing. We also practiced extending sentences in English using autumnal words. We learned lots of new vocabulary too. We used conkers for our word problems in maths, and we painted this mural in art. We practiced dancing in PE and we learned two songs in our music lessons.
Kindness Balloons!
Well done to these students, who scatter kindness wherever they go! They won a balloon and a prize for being kind to other pupils.
